A Time to Die
On October 19, 2016…..God called a husband, father, brother, Papa, father figure and friend, Walter LeNorris home. Walter caught that chariot ride home to the Lord. The Lord knew that Walter had gotten tired…He took him by the hand and said “Welcome Home”.
A Time to Be Born
Walter known by everyone as “Talkie” and “Bro” was born March 2, 1950 to the late Lendora Burns Davis and Walter Lee Davis. Walter loved caring for others, cutting grass, cooking on the grill and doing things that he could that made someone smile.
A Time to Place
Walter attended the public schools in Stanly County (Kingville High School). He also attended Johnson C. Smith. Walter was retired from Phillip Morris, USA. He was on staff with Elite Home Care, Albemarle, North Carolina.
A Time to Build Up
Walter joined East Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Porter at an early age and remained faithful until death. He was a member of the Usher, Pastor Aide and Trustee Boards. Walter loved God, East Macedonia and people. Walter also loved his family.
A Time to Weep
Walter met his love for thirty-six (36) years Brenda Lilly. Walter is survived by his wife, Brenda l. Davis of the home; three sons: Walter G. (Renee), Cary, North Carolina, Kyri J. (Christy, Charlotte, North Carolina, Keonte’, Woodbridge, Virginia; ten grandchildren: Jakayra, Omarion, Samaria, Amari ,Reddin, Kylea, Kartier, Nevaeh, Nyshawn and Jada; one sister, Patricia Pergee; one brother, Gary (Oranger) Davis; two aunts: Martha Little and Mildred Davis; two uncles/brother: Lonnie Davis and Clyde Davis; two sisters-in-law: Terry Lilly Taylor and Tina Rivers; two brothers-in-law: Robert O. Lilly and Elvis R. (Sebrena) Lilly; special neighbors that he walked around the block with, Harold, Brenda, Rhonda, Joe and John; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
