The road into sunset

Is one we all must tread

And though the thought brings us sorrow

When a loved one goes ahead.

Still there is comfort in knowing 

We shall meet again someday

When grief and pain is over

And the clouds have rolled away.

Eloise Hammett Lowery of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, March 16,2017 at her daughter’s residence in Locust, North Carolina. Born in Charlotte, May 31,1932, Eloise was the daughter of the late Forrest Sidney and Eloise Overcash Hammett.

She attended the Harding High School which is in the Mecklenburg County Public School District. Prior to retirement she was employed as a nursing assistant. She also worked in the textile industry.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Earnest Hearn.

Eloise is survived by her only child, a loving and devoted daughter, Peggy M. Flowe; a son-in-law, Neal Flowe; four grandchildren: Brice, Ali, Chelsea and Taylor Flowe; a great- granddaughter, Vada Rose Houston; two sisters:Peggy Tanner, her husband, Bobby Tanner and Elaree Hearn; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, March 18,2017 at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, North Carolina.
