Ellis Junior Houston

Ellis Junior Houston, age 67, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, June 4,2016 while a patient at the Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast, Concord, North Carolina. He was born October 27, 1948 in Stanly County, North Carolina and was the son of the late Johnny and Rachel Griffin Houston.

 His formal education was received in the public schools of Stanly County, North   Carolina; and he was a retiree from the Town of Oakboro, Oakboro, North Carolina. Ellis was a member of God’s Power House of Deliverance Church, Albemarle, North Carolina. He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns on television, and cooking a great meal.

He was married to Florence Billingsley Houston and they would have celebrated their fourteenth wedding anniversary on June 29th.

In addition to his parents, a sister, Avis Houston, preceded Ellis in death.

He will be remembered and cherished by his wife, Florence B. Houston, Oakboro, North Carolina; a nephew who he reared as a son, Harry Joe Marsh, Albemarle, North Carolina; a brother, Johnny “Danny” (Katherine) Houston, Kannapolis, North Carolina; a sister, Rachel (Linwood) Ingram Oakboro, North Carolina; other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
