Thomas William Lee, Sr., gave up time for Eternity on Thursday, October 5, 2017 while a patient at Forrest Oakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Albemarle, North Carolina.  “Tom” as he was affectionately known was born April 7, 1927 in Chesterfield, South Carolina to the parentage of the late Dave and Julia Chambers Lee. His family and friends give thanks to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the blessing of sharing his life with us for so many years.

“Tom” attended the public schools in Anson County, North Carolina. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving in the World War II Conflict. Never idle, “Tom” was employed for several companies and retired from Federal Pacific Manufacturing after many years of employment. He was a life-long, faithful member of Saints Delight Church, Albemarle where he was a member of the Deacon Board.

Along with his parents and wives, he was lovingly received into his Heavenly Home by his brothers and sisters: John D. Hailey, Clarence Hailey, Charles Lee, Corabelle Hatley, Delia Crowder and Rosa Mae Watson.

“Tom” was joined in Holy matrimony to Matherlean Covington Lee for 37 years; and was also married to Maggie Terry Lee and Tonya Griffin Lee.

Many loving and cherished memories are left with his six sons: Thomas W. Lee, Jr., Norwood, North Carolina, Eugene T. “There is an open gate at the end of the road,

Through which each one must go alone.

And there is a light we cannot see,

Our Father claims will find happiness and rest.

And there is comfort in the thought that a

Loving God knows best.”
