Early Years…
Willie Swaringen Coltraine was welcomed in the Swaringen home, June 22, 1929, Stanly County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Viola Pittman Swaringen. Willie was reared in a Christian home where she and her brothers and sisters were taught kindness, love, and generosity for others. She had a loving spirit that transcended throughout her life.
