Remembered with love, our beloved William Sturdivant, transitioned from labor to reward, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at his residence in Albemarle, North Carolina. A man of few words, William had a quiet demeanor who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was born December 19, 1940, in Wadesboro, North Carolina; and was the son of the late W.C. and Esther Tillman Sturdivant. William was also prceded in death by: brothers: Robert Sturdivant and Harold Sturdivant; sisters: Elaine Sturdivant and Rosetta Shuford; His memory will forever live in hearts. May he rest in the palm of Our Father’s Hand.
William was educated in the Anson County Public schools and was self-employed in the lawn care and landscaping profession.
Precious and loving memories will live eternally in the hearts of his devoted granddaughter, Sarah (Reginald) Willliams; daughter, Etta Lynette Sturdivant; sons: Dana Wendell Sturdivant, William (Eldrine) Huntley, Jessie Lee Huntley, and Christopher Sturdivant; brothers: Bobby (Rosemary) Sturdivant and Eddie Sturdivant; sisters: Phyllis (Rev. Donell) Taylor, Cassie (Paul) Kluttz, Marcella Sturdivant, Ernestine (Angie) and Warren (Brenda) Sturdivant; sisters-in-law: Peggy Sturdivant and Deborah Sturdivant; an aunt, Marion Gatewood; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
