We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Kelsey Funeral Home
In sweet peace our beloved, Virginia Juanita Caple Terry, was called to eternal rest Monday, July 18,2022, while a patient at Autumn Care, Biscoe, North Carolina. Affectionately known as “Jennie Mae”, she possessed a loving and sweet spirit that was endearing to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Born June 24, 1944, in Stanly County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of late Charlie Sr. and Grace Thomas Caple. Jennie Mae’s journey through life has left indelible footprints of kindness, love, courage, and compassion. She always met others with a smile, kind word, and helping hand. Gone from our home, but never from our hearts. May she rest in peace and soar with the Angels.
Jennie Mae attended the Stanly County public schools and graduated in the class of 1963 from the historic West Badin High School, Badin, North Carolina. Prior to retirement, she was employed for over thirty years with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Albemarle, North Carolina.
A dedicated servant, Jennie Mae, was a believer and was a member of First Baptist Church, Badin. Always devoted and involved, she served as former President of the Pastor’s Aide Auxiliary, member of the Usher Board, Spiritual Choir, and Kitchen Staff. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Badin #457. Jennie Mae enjoyed playing Solitaire, listening to music, cooking, and baking. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and an amazing friend to the community. She will be sorely missed.
Her parents; husband, George Terry; daughter, Angela Mack; stepson, LaVern Quick; great grandchildren: Riley Griffin and Miracle Brown; siblings: Elizabeth Moore, Thomas, Bobby Caple and Lonzie Caple preceded her in death.
