Timothy Boyd Rushing Sr.

Mr. Timothy Boyd Rushing Sr., departed this earthly world, Sunday, June 13, 2021 while a patient at Novant Medical Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte, North Carolina. We, the family members and friends, truly thank God for allowing us the years we shared and cherished together.

Born August 29, 1970 in Albemarle, North Carolina, Tim was the son of Bobby Rushing Sr. and the late Connie Wright Rushing. He was a graduate of Albemarle Senior High School. He attended Stanly County Community College, Albemarle where he studied Criminal Justice; and he was also accepted and participated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Academy Training Program.

While attending the Corner Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Apostolic, Albemarle, he served as president of the Usher Board and was a National Usher Board member.

Tim was a loving and giving person. His smile embraced and lifted everyone he met. He loved his children, grandson, father, siblings and his life partner, Ursula. In his leisure, he relished riding motorcycles and driving sport cars.

Those left to cherish his memory are:  his father, Bobby Rushing Sr., Albemarle; son, Timothy (Ashley) Rushing Jr., California; daughter, Miranda Rushing, Minnesota; brothers: Bobby (Sparklyn) Rushing Jr. (Tim’s twin brother), Ernest (Shana) Rushing, both of Charlotte, and Travis (Andria) Rushing, Albemarle; sister, Mary (Warren) Stewart, Concord, North Carolina; life partner, Ursula Moon, Charlotte; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
