Gone too soon, our beloved, Theodore Kevin Booker, entered eternal rest, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at his residence in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born May 8, 1972 in Martinsville, Virginia, “Kevin”, or “KB”, as he was affectionately known, was the son of Theodore “Ted” and Gwendolyn Spencer Booker, and the older brother to Keia Booker. Kevin was a loving, kind, and generous individual who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. As he soars with the Angels, he will forever be remembered and loved.
Growing up in the military, Kevin spent his early years in Germany and Italy where he learned to ski, play football (or soccer as it's called over here), and grew his love of art and culture. After returning to the United States, Kevin completed his secondary education and graduated from Del City High School. He went on to attend the University of Oklahoma, where his love of the Boomer Sooner spirit was imbued. He had a passion for the culinary arts that he developed during his years in Europe and received his certification from Francis Tuttle Culinary School.
Professionally, Kevin found joy working as a chef in a career that spanned over many years in the Greater Oklahoma City Cosmopolitan Area. At the time of his passing, he was working with Pelican’s Restaurant. Kevin co-workers admired and respected his talents, dedication and work ethics. Kevin was a person to be counted on by everyone he knew, and so he formed lasting friendships that will forever be treasured.
In his leisure time, Kevin was a gifted cartoonist, artist, and had a deep lover of music. He was an ardent and loyal supporter of his alma mater, the University of Oklahoma. He enjoyed attending and watching their football games, as well as those of the Oklahoma City Thunder and OU basketball teams.
He has joined his father, Ted “Bear”, and other family members who preceded him in death. He is now with them in a place of perfect peace.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Gwendolyn Booker; sister, Keia Booker; brother-in-law, Martyn Southern; and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be dearly and deeply missed.
