Tenesha Scott Obituary
Tenesha Denae Scott, age 45, entered eternal rest Wednesday, March 26, 2025 surrounded by a loving family. She was born April 18, 1979, in Charlotte, North Carolina; and was the daughter of Celia Mae Kelly Scott and Johnny Hough Sr. We were blessed to share beautiful memories with Tenesha. Though we cannot see or touch her, our love transcends the test of time. Her memory will forever live in our hearts. We find solace in knowing that she rests in Our Father's Arms.
She was educated in the Stanly County Public Schools and graduated in the class of 1998 from North Stanly High School, New London, North Carolina. Prior to health challenges, Tenesha was employed in the healthcare industry as a nursing assistant.
A woman of faith, Tenesha was a member of East Macedonia Baptist Church, Norwood, North Carolina where she was a member of the Usher and Missionary Boards. In her pastime she found joy in spending time with family and friends. Tenesha also loved to cook. She loved animals, especially her cat, "NuNu". We would be remiss if we did not mention that Tenesha possessed a loving and kind demeanor that touched and helped others who needed her assistance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Celia Scott and Johnny Hough Sr.
Tenesha will be remembered and treasured with love by her husband, James Davis; daughter, Jamaya Burton; sisters: Paulette Scott, Beverly Scott, Kay Lauren Vouyie, and Joyous Duke Doe; brothers: Arthur (Bertina) Scott Jr., Paul Scott Sr., Anthony Todd Scott, Johnnie (Kimberly) Hough, Steven (Wendy) Hough, Reginald (Carla) Hough, Timothy (Marine) Hough ; nieces and nephews: Jerome Nabinett III, Jerrod Nabinett, Aaliyah Scott, Shatika Scott, Alexis Scott, Jayce Fraley, Isabella Fraley, Tiana Miller, and Paul Scott Jr.; special niece, Lena Rae Jo Scott; special nephew, Jeremy Scott Jr.; adopted mothers: Barbara Gaddy and Betty Moore; a host of other relatives and friends.
