Stephanie Yolanda Little Wideman transitioned to eternal rest Saturday, June 20, 2020, comforted and surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 9, 1975 in Stanly County, North Carolina to the parentage of James Lee and Audrey Bost Little. Stephanie possessed a beautiful and kind spirit. She loved her family and her family loved her. Our Lord and Savior in his infinite wisdom saw that she was getting weary, so he called her to rest. God’s garden is beautiful because he takes the best. Our hearts are heavy, but we find comfort in knowing that Stephanie is soaring with the Angels.
She was educated in the Stanly County public schools and graduated in the Class of 1993 from West Stanly High School, Red Cross, North Carolina. Stephanie was employed as a Direct Support Trainer with GHA Autism Supports, and a part time bookkeeper with Ingles Grocery Store, both in Albemarle, North Carolina.
Stephanie began her Christian journey at an early age and joined Galilee Baptist Church, Oakboro, North Carolina. Her hobbies included: taking pictures, especially selfies, spending time with family, vacationing, and cruising on the high seas of the Caribbean.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tevin Wideman.
Stephanie’s passing has left a great void in the lives of her family and friends. Cherished and loving memories of her kindness and generosity will forever be remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Quinesha and James Carter III, Greensboro, North Carolina; son, Tyreek Wideman, Norwood, North Carolina; grandchildren: Daylen Patterson, Jayla Carter, Micah Wideman, Alyssa Carter, Josiah Carter, James Carter IV, and Malicah Casey; mother and father, James and Audrey Little, Oakboro, North Carolina; sisters: Ramona Little, Jamie Torrence, both of Salisbury, North Carolina and Jennifer (Melvin) Wideman, Albemarle, North Carolina; special friend, Burton Davis, Albemarle, North Carolina; a special aunt, Undrey Bost; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
