Samuel L. Lilly

Reflections…

Samuel Lamer Lilly transitioned to eternal rest Friday, December 17, 2021, while a patient at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Center, Albemarle, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Mary Jane Virginia Lilly and John Townsend. Samuel was fun loving and enjoyed meeting people. His memory will always remain precious in our hearts.

Educated in the Stanly County public schools, Samuel graduated in the class of 1986 from South Stanly High School, Norwood, North Carolina. Prior to declining health, he was lead supervisor with Southeastern Material Company.

Samuel enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid fan of the NFL Dallas Cowboys.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer Allen Jackson.

The music is quiet, the sun has set on the earthly life of our beloved Samuel. He will be remembered with fondly by his wife, Leshonda Graham Lilly; sons: Patrick Graham, Marquise Harris, and Kenny Graham; brother, Todd (Katherine) Lilly; sisters: Charlene (Steve) McRae and Angel (Eddie) Davis; aunt, Tamela (Joe) Smith; brother-in-law, Dean Jackson; a host of other relatives and friends.
