Ruben Donnell Harrell, age 67, gave up time for Eternity on Sunday, June 7, 2020 while a patient at Duke Palliative Care and Hospice Center, Durham, North Carolina. He was born July 17, 1952 in Anson County, North Carolina. Lovingly known as “Tosha” by family and friends, he was the son of the late Luke and Marie McLendon Harrell Sr. Ruben was kind and easy going. His physical presence is no longer of this earth, but we will forever treasure his memory.
He attended the Anson County public schools. After high school, Ruben enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably.

His parents and siblings: Ann H. Hough, Nellie Bridges, Leon Sturdivant, James Harrell, Luke Harrell Jr., Daisy Harrell, Jerry Harrell, and Diane Bovan preceded him in death.
Ruben is survived by his brothers: Eddie Harrell, Robert Harrell, Bill Harrell and Pete (Joyce) Sturdivant; sisters: Janet (Michael) Huntley and Mary L.
