Ronnie Price Eaton, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend was called to eternal rest Monday, November 4, 2024, at his residence in Albemarle, North Carolina. Ronnie, the son of Henry P. and Bernice Dobbins Eaton, was born June 20, 1958, in Montgomery County, North Carolina. He had a calm, collected, and quiet demeanor that endeared him to those he met along life's journey. We give thanks to Our Lord and Savior for the beautiful memories and many years we shared Ronnie's life.
Ronnie was a 1976 graduate of Albemarle Senior High School in Albemarle, NC. After high school, he matriculated to North Carolina A & T State University, Greensboro, North Carolina where he received his bachelor's degree in Physical Education. In his youth he was very athletic, breaking many track records in Stanly County. He was well known throughout the community for his work with Albemarle Parks and Recreation as a lifeguard and his community service alongside his father Henry Eaton. He was an excellent swimmer and taught many young people how to swim. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, swimming, traveling, and spending time with his family.
He retired from Michelin Tire Company, Norwood, North Carolina after twenty-four years of stellar service. Ronnie was a member of Union Chapel AME Zion Church of Albemarle during his childhood. As an adult he became a member of Victory Deliverance Temple in Mt. Gilead, NC alongside his wife and family.
His parents, Henry and Bernice Eaton preceded him in death.
