Ronald Baldwin Obituary

Our beloved, Ronald Baldwin, was born September 30, 1954, in Stanly County, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Rosa Mae Baldwin and Benny James Moss. “Chico”, as he was fondly and lovingly known was loved and embraced by all he encountered. An infectious smile, charisma, and kindness were his trademarks. He kept things lively, enjoyed having fun, and making people laugh. Thursday, September 29, 2022, while a patient at Atrium Health-Cabarrus, Concord, North Carolina, “Chico” transitioned to eternal rest. A life well-lived, “Chico’s” memory will forever live in our hearts.

He was educated in the Stanly County public schools and attended Albemarle Senior High School, Albemarle. He was a former employee with Jefferies Manufacturing Company and McKenzie Taxidermy for many years.

A life-long member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Albemarle, “Chico” and his family enjoyed many spirited church services at Mt. Zion. He was a member of the Men’s Choir and Usher Board. “Chico” was a savvy businessman and was a self-proclaimed car salesman. He loved driving beautiful cars. In his leisure, he enjoyed playing card games. “Chico” also loved spending time with family especially during the holidays and family celebrations. He was generous with his time and treasure. “Chico” was always willing to lend a helping hand to his fellowman.

He was welcomed into God’s kingdom by his parents; siblings: Christopher Ingram, Vanessa Baldwin, Gwendolyn Baldwin, Gary Baldwin, Zander Robinson, and Lucinda B. Burns. We can only imagination what a family reunion our family had when “Chico” received his wings and entered God’s kingdom.

“Chico” will be celebrated and remembered with thanksgiving for his life by his family and friends. He is survived by his son, Marcus Burns; daughter, Shaleka Baldwin; grandchildren: Kordarius Burns and Isaiah Hammonds; sisters: Jannie McDonald, Barbara Joiner, Monica Baldwin, Cynthia Baldwin, Linda Jo Rose, Vanessa Ingram, Victoria Ingram, and Karen Ingram; brothers: Eddie Baldwin, Shawn (Tomeika) Baldwin, Barry Ingram, and Bruce Davis; aunt, Emma Tyson; uncle, Bobby Baldwin; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

“Good night, “Chico”, may flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest”.
