Richard Dean Pratt, Jr.

Richard Dean Pratt Jr. age 57, was called to eternal rest Monday, February 17, 2020 while a patient at Stanly Manor, Albemarle, North Carolina.  Fondly called “Scooter” he was born August 5,1962 in Stanly County, North Carolina. His parents were the late Richard D., Sr. and Betty Blue Pratt.

“Scooter” was educated in the Stanly County public schools. He enjoyed the outdoors and could often be seen mowing and landscaping lawns in the community.   

He was a member of Spirit and Truth United Church of God, Albemarle. Fun-loving, “Scooter” lived life to the fullest and always offered a helping hand to his fellowman.

“Scooter” is survived by a loving and devoted brother, Reginald L. Pratt and his wife, Althia, New London, North Carolina; aunts: Gloria Kendall, Crystal Hamilton and Essie Wall; uncles: Bunnie Blue and John Kendall; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

We loved “Scooter” and he will be missed. Although his presence is no longer of this earth, his memory will forever remain in our hearts until we meet again.
