Rachel Elizabeth (Bost) Cagle

Rachel Elizabeth Bost Cagle, daughter of the late Roy and Dollie White Bost, was born May 31, 1935 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. On December 6, 2017, Rachel was called home to be with her heavenly home while a patient at Forrest Oakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Albemarle, North Carolina.

She was educated in the Cabarrus County public schools. Rachel was a life-long member of Reeves Chapel A.M. E. Zion Church, Concord, North Carolina. There she was a faithful member of the Senior Choir. After relocating to Albemarle, Rachel and her family attended Saints Delight Church, where she served on the Watch Care Auxiliary Board.

Rachel loved family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed helping to care for them and above all spoiling them with love, affection and gifts. One of her favorite hobbies was working in her flower gardens.

In addition to her parents, her husband Calvin Cagle, Jr., and two children: Calvin Cagle, III and Dolly Bruton preceded her in death.

She leaves to celebrate her life and her memory, sons: Robert (Sherrie) Bost, Kannapolis, North Carolina and Alvin Cagle, Durham, North Carolina; daughter, Renea (Kenneth) Ponds, Albemarle, North Carolina; seven grandchildren: Travis Bruton, Thaddeus Bruton, Jr., Pasiley Ponds, Breyanna Cagle, Alexia Cagle, Courtney Cagle and Kayla Cagle; four great grandchildren: Rayn Bruton, Jada Bruton, Khalil Bruton and Ocean Bruton; son-in-law, Thaddeus Bruton, Sr.; a host of other relatives and friends.
