On February 25, 2020, Our Lord and Savior called Paul N. Lilly home from labor to rest. Paul was born May 8, 1939 in Montgomery County, North Carolina. His parents were the late William Edgar and Nannie Pemberton Lilly. It is difficult to say good-bye to Paul, but our hearts are consoled in knowing he has crossed the River Jordan and now rests with Our Almighty.
Paul was educated in the Stanly County North Carolina public schools and graduated from Kingville High School, Albemarle, North Carolina. He was a retired truck driver with the Camden City School District, Camden, New Jersey.
He was affiliated with Saints Delight Church, Albemarle where he enjoyed spirited church services and the fellowship with members. Paul would attend Tenth Street Baptist Church, Camden, New Jersey.
Paul has joined his parents; twin sister, Pauline; and siblings: Odell Lilly, Theodore Lilly, Chester Lilly, Benjamin Lilly, Bernice L. Moses and Shirley Foster in a place perfect in every way.
His brother, Philmore is the last surviving sibling.
His memory will forever be cherished by his daughters: Leslie Showell, West Deptford, New Jersey and Davida Tuten, Camden, New Jersey; sons: Damaro Tuten, Camden, New Jersey and Durwin (Eemani) Tuten, Raleigh, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren: Janayjah Dunmore, Damaro’ Tuten II, Daveena Tuten, D’Mesa Tuten, D’Ani Tuten, Dahnaj Tuten, Malee Tuten, Ernest L.
