Ollie Lee Swaringen

Ms. Ollie L. Swaringen, daughter of the late Ollie and Lerlean Kendall Swaringen, was born July 21,1952 in Randolph County, North Carolina. She departed her earthly home, December 15, 2017.

Ollie was a graduate in the Class of 1971, Albemarle High School, Albemarle, North Carolina. She received an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Stanly Community College, Albemarle. Ollie was employed for many years with Reeves Sewing Mill; and she was the proprietor of Quality Home Daycare, Albemarle for over twenty-five years. She was also employed with the Howard Center and GHA (Group Homes for the Autistic).

Her only child, Tevis Swaringen; two brothers: Nathaniel Kendall and Charles Swaringen; and three sisters: Jerlean Swaringen Edwards, Brenda Swaringen and Daisy Swaringen McLendon preceded her in death.

Left to cherish her memory are, two brothers: John Henry Kendall, Suffolk, Virginia and Willie Doug Swaringen and his wife, Jencie, Badin, North Carolina; two sisters: Ruby Lewis and Debra Swaringen, both of Albemarle, North Carolina;, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
