Mylon Deandrus Baldwin

With heavy hearts, yet with faith in God's perfect wisdom and unfailing love, we celebrate the life of Mylon Deandrus Baldwin, who was called to eternal rest on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

While some may say his departure came too soon, his family finds comfort in knowing that God is sovereign, all-powerful, and makes no mistakes. Though our hearts grieve his absence, we are grateful for the precious years we shared with him and the countless memories that will forever remain in our hearts.

Mylon was born on August 30, 1977, in Albemarle, Stanly County, North Carolina, and was the beloved son of Cynthia Ann Baldwin and the late Frederick Kindell. From an early age, he possessed a charismatic spirit and an easy-going personality that drew people to him. Friendly, outgoing, and genuine, Mylon never met a stranger. He loved engaging in conversation, meeting new people, and building lasting friendships. His warm smile, kind heart, and welcoming nature left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.

He received his education in the Stanly County Public Schools and graduated in the class of 1995 from Albemarle Senior High School, Albemarle. He worked as a general laborer and was most recently employed with Favorable Conditions Enterprise where he specialized in residential home improvements.

A lifelong member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Albemarle, Mylon enjoyed attending spirited worship services and being surrounded by his church family and the loving support from his family members.

Music was one of Mylon's greatest passions. He loved listening to and playing music for family and friends and was often the life of the celebration. Whether serving as a disc jockey at family gatherings or community events, Mylon had a special gift for bringing people together through music, laughter, and fellowship. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and was rarely seen without a smile. Mylon was also an avid Carolina Tar Heels Basketball fan.

Today, the music has grown quiet, the sun has set on another chapter, and our beloved Mylon has finished his earthly course. He now rests in the loving presence of the Lord, reunited with his father, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and many other loved ones who have crossed the River Jordan before him.

Though he has departed this earthly life, the love we hold for Mylon is eternal. Love never dies, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Cherishing his memory and celebrating his life are his devoted mother, Cynthia Ann Baldwin;  his beloved son, Deandrus Bennett; his daughters: Destiny Hodge and Ashyla Baldwin; his  granddaughter, Kamaiya Bennett; his brother, James Amadeus Kindell; his sisters: Latoya (Maurice) Wilson Chambers, Destiny (Curtis) Davidson, and Holly Kindell; a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, special cousins who were like brothers: Maos Baldwin and Cedric  Baldwin, other relatives,  friends,  special friends: Deon Brooks, Trayvion Knight, Jermaine Turner, Alvis James, and Antonio Brown. Mylon had many friends too countless to name.

As we remember Mylon's laughter, kindness, generosity, and love, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy will continue through the lives he touched. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit remains present in our memories, our stories, and the enduring love that binds us together.
