In sweet peace, our beloved Mildred Lucille Wall Chambers, entered Eternal rest, Friday, May 21, 2021. She was born January 27, 1951 in Stanly County, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Julius and Jessie Mae Cox Wall. Mildred was kind and loving. She has left our lives, but her memory will never leave our hearts. It is well within our hearts, knowing that she is now resting in the Arms of Our Lord and Savior.
Mildred attended the Stanly County public schools and was employed for many years as a member of the housekeeping staff at one of the local nursing facilities in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
She had an abiding faith and was a former member of Cedar Hill African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Ansonville, North Carolina. In her leisure she enjoyed fishing and cooking. She was a devoted wife to her husband and enjoyed spoiling him. Mildred will be remembered for always giving her best to her family and friends.
Her parents and son, Robert A. Johnson, and sister, Ollie Mae Deese preceded her in death.
Mildred and James R. Chambers enjoyed twenty-nine years of marital bliss. They were a loving and devoted couple who enjoyed family trips and spending time together.
Words cannot begin to express the sadness we feel as we mourn the loss of our dear Mildred. Her memory will be treasured and will remain in the hearts of her husband, James R. Chambers, Winston-Salem; grandson who she reared, Johnathan Elliott, Winston-Salem; sister, Fannie Cox, Asheboro, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Ruby Mix, Winston-Salem; brother-in-law and his wife, Donnell and Felecia Chambers, Winston-Salem; a host of other relatives and friends.
