In sweet peace, Michael Lee Maske, entered Eternal rest while a patient at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, North Carolina. Michael was born December 20, 1959 in Chatham County, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Jerry Sr. and Mary Lee Smalls Maske. An easy going, quiet and unassuming man, Michael’s memory will be an indelible mark in our hearts. He will be forever loved and remembered.
Michael was educated in the Union County, North Carolina public schools. Prior to retirement, he was employed with the City of Norwood, Parks and Recreation Department, Norwood, North Carolina.
He was a former member of Saron Missionary Baptist Church, Polkton, North Carolina. Michael and his wife recently joined Faith Believers of Deliverance Holiness Church, Ansonville, North Carolina under the pastorage of Pastor Petula Little.
Landscaping, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends were his favorite pastimes. He was a devoted husband and loving father who loved his family unconditionally and always gave his best.
On Saturday morning, May 1, 2021, Michael received his wings and joined his parents and siblings: Jerry Jr., Robert, Rose, Mary, and Janie Mae where he is soaring with the Angels, and is resting in the palm of God’s hand.
As we say farewell and good-bye to Michael, we know that we will be together again in that ‘great gettin’ up morning. Until then, the memories of his wife, Lucille B. Maske, Norwood, North Carolina; daughter, Briana N. Williams, Albemarle, North Carolina; son, Christopher Lockhart, Albemarle; brother, Johnny Maske, Monroe, North Carolina; sister, Ethel (Barry) Funderburk, Monroe; favorite nephews: Jamie L. Maske, Charlotte, North Carolina and Brady Maske, Monroe; other relatives and friends will sustain us and hold close Michael’s love and devotion.
