Mary Elizabeth Moses

Mary Elizabeth Moses, age 64, transitioned to eternal rest, Thursday, September 4, 2025, in Cheraw, South Carolina. Born September 25, 1960, in Brooklyn, New York, Mary was the daughter of the late Lloyd Frank Moses and Evelyn Teresa Sloane.

Gone from our home, but forever in our hearts, Mary will be remembered for her loving, kind, and warm demeanor.

She was educated in the Chesterfield County Public Schools and attended Cheraw High School, Cheraw, South Carolina.

Mary was a social butterfly. She never met a stranger and loved meeting people. Her kindness and sincerity endeared her to those she met. In her leisure, she enjoyed coloring, which was therapeutic for her. She also loved solving puzzles like Word Search and playing card games.

Family and friends who will dearly miss and cherish Mary’s memory are her sons: Bernard Kendall and Marcus Isaac; grandchildren: Joshua, Kaeden, Katalina, and Aaden; brothers: James Frank Moses, Timothy Wilson, James “Rod” Brooks, Douglas Fleming, Lloyd D. (Jackie) Moses, Frank Fleming, Terrence Drye, and Octavis Crump; sisters: Sonja (Dennis) Davis, Kendra (Robert) Pruitt, Tomeika (John) Sellers, Resa Harris, and Felisia Wilson; special children who were dear to Mary: Rafael Burkett, Dashawn “Dae Dae” Smith, Kristacia Smith, Matthew Adams, and Colleak McIver; special grandchildren; a host of great uncles, great aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
