Marshall Lee Dockery
Obituary
Marshall Lee Dockery, age 71, gave up time for eternity, Sunday, February 19, 2023, at his residence in Albemarle, North Carolina. He was born August 25, 1951, in Stanly County, North Carolina; and was the son of the late Andrew Marshall and Mary Frances Yarborough Dockery. Death can never separate those who are bonded together by the ties of love. Marshall was loved. He will be missed, and his memory will forever live in our hearts.
He attended the Stanly County public schools and was employed in the meat packing industry for many years. Marshall was an easy going individual who loved meeting people, spending time with his family, talking on the telephone, and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Amanda Poole, Gerald Dockery, and Eddie Yarborough.
Marshall is survived by his son, Anthony (Pamela) Metz; daughter, Angela Dockery (Christopher Conyers); grandchildren: Shanita Dockery, Joshua Dockery, Ashley Dockery (Eric Dunston) and Dijonna McLendon; great grandchildren: Riley and Raylen McLendon; sister, Elder Mae (Jay) Jackson; special nephew, Keith (Denise) Jackson; special niece, Destiny Jackson; a host of other relatives and friends.
