Marjorie Dry Williams, age 83 entered Eternal rest Sunday, June 7, 2020 while a patient at Forrest Oakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Albemarle, North Carolina. She was born March 4, 1937 in Stanly County, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Viola Sibley Dry.
She was educated in the Stanly County public schools and was employed for several years with Lyons Inn, Richfield, North Carolina.
Marjorie was a member of Parkers Grove Baptist Church, New London, North Carolina. In her leisure, she enjoyed baking, shopping, and gardening.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis D. Brown; son, James W. Brown Jr.; siblings: Willie Mae Harris, Arthur D. Dry, Hubert Dry, Leroy Dry, Bob Dry, and twin brother, Audrey Dry.
Marjorie has finished her journey in life and now rests in the Arms of Our Lord and Savior. She was loved and will forever be remembered by: her daughters: Theresa (Mark) Nabinett, Badin, North Carolina and Marcella (Anthony) Hamilton, New London, North Carolina; sons: Lonnie Brown, Richfield, North Carolina, Earl (Evelyn) Brown, Albemarle, North Carolina and Michael Brown, Concord, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; eleven great great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
