Margie Marie Brown

In sweet peace, our beloved Margie Marie Brown, entered God's Heavenly Home, Sunday, April 6, 2025. She was the daughter of Luretta Brown and Willie Green. Margie was born December 13, 1931, in Stanly County, North Carolina. Margie always brightened our days with love, kindness, and compassion. We are eternally grateful for the many years we shared her life. May God hold her in the palm of His Hand.

Margie was educated in the Stanly County Public Schools and attended the historic Kingville High School, Albemarle. She was employed in the housekeeping industry for many years.

A woman of faith, Margie was a dedicated member of Shiloh Baptist Church, New London, North Carolina until health challenges prevented her attendance. In pastimes Margie enjoyed cooking, the fellowship of church members, and watching her grandchildren play sports. She too, an avid sports enthusiast, loved cheering for her favorite professional teams: the Atlanta Braves and the Indianapolis Colts.

She has joined her parents; grandson, Cecil Brown; sister, Annie Mae Maske; and brother, Henry Dock Brown in a place of perfect peace.

Forever loved and remembered always, Margie is survived by her son, James (Pamela) Brown; daughter, Melanie Richardson; grandchildren: Je'Waun (Lindsey) Richardson, Elijah Richardson, James Brown Jr., Marcus (Lashica) Jenkins, and Takeyla (Timothy) Christian; ten great grandchildren; special cousins: Bernadette Garmony-Barbour, Barbara Ann Brown, and DeArmon Brown; special loved ones:  Dorinda Robinson, Betty Harrison, Barbara Gaines, James Gaines, Douglas Gaines,, and Stewart Gaines; a host of other relatives and friends.
