Lloyd Frank Moses, age 84, died Sunday, February 12, 2023, at his residence in Albemarle, North Carolina. He was born June 1, 1938, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina; and was the son of the late Reverend Clyburn Sr., and Rosie Lee Miller Moses. Lloyd possessed a great sense of humor and enjoyed keeping things lively. He will be sorely missed for his kind demeanor and willingness to lend a helping hand to others.
He was educated in the Stanly County public schools and attended Kingville High School, Albemarle, North Carolina. Prior to retirement, he was employed for many years with Homes by Fisher, Richfield, North Carolina. Lloyd was a member of Colson Street Church of God, Albemarle.
Lloyd was adventurous. Never idle, he enjoyed traveling and meeting people. He was a former member of Stanly Lodge # 88, (PHA); and the Smooth Riders Van Club.
His parents; brothers: James, Sammie Lee, and Lester Moses; sisters: Mary Moses, Jessie Mae Scott, and Rosetta Clyburn; and former spouse, Johnsie M. Moses preceded him in death.
Lloyd will be remembered and loved eternally by his children: James F. Moses, Mary E. Moses, Timothy B. Wilson, Sonja (Dennis) Davis, James “Rod” Brooks, Douglas E. Fleming, Lloyd D. (Jackie) Moses, Kendra (Robert) Pruitt, Tomeika (John) Sellers, Resa R. Harris, Felisia M. Wilson, Frank M. Fleming, Terrence O. Drye, and Octavis D. Crump; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren; brothers: Clyburn L. Moses, L.C. (Deborah) Moses, David Lee Moses, Herman Lee Moses, and Eddie Lee Moses; special friends: Della Crump, Davara Ponds, and Kevin Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
