Linda Hearne Wilson

Our God is wise, God is faithful, and God is love. Sunday morning, August 7, 2022, Our Savior in his infinite wisdom called Linda Hearne Wilson to eternal rest. It saddens us to say farewell to our dear Linda, but we are comforted in knowing that she is in God’s Hands and she is soaring with the Angels. Linda was born August 4, 1943, in Stanly County, North Carolina; and was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Melinda Miller Hearne. Linda was caring, thoughtful, and generous to family and friends. She is gone from sight, but never from our memory. Gone from touch, but her warmth will never be forgotten, and she will live always in our hearts.

Linda was educated in the Stanly County public schools and attended Kingville High School, Albemarle, North Carolina. She was employed with Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly Britt Haven Nursing, Albemarle.

A believer, Linda was reared in a Christian home and accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She joined Mount Zion Missionary Church, Albemarle and after relocating she joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Wilmington, North Carolina where she and her husband were faithful members.

She was a breast cancer survivor and was actively involved in the breast cancer survivors’ group. Linda enjoyed her membership in the Kingville High Alumni Association, where she attended the annual reunions and supported the alumni initiatives. Having fun and making others laugh was a part of Linda’s persona. Other sources of enjoyment including talking on the phone and shopping. Always impeccably dressed, Linda loved fashion and decorating her home.

Linda was welcome to her eternal home by her parents; sister, Perry Harris; and brothers: James A. Hampton and Robert A. Hearne.

Our family and friends were incredibly blessed to have shared a beautiful life. Linda’s memory will be treasured by her devoted husband, Andrew Wilson; sons: Tony Hearne and Adrian Hearne Sr.; daughters: Jeanette Hearne and Terry Wilson; grandchildren: Tresshia Smith, Anthony Letman, Adrian Hearne Jr., Ace Hearne, and Adrion Hearne; great grandchild, Jake Smith; sisters: Judy Rush, Mary Snuggs, Dorinda (James) Alston, and Carolyn (James) Townsend; special friend, Nannie Crump; a host of other family members and friends.
