Lester Leon Bryant

Lester Leon Bryant, age 68, transitioned to eternal rest, Friday, October 22, 2021, while a patient at Atrium Health-Stanly, Albemarle, North Carolina. He was born July 30, 1953, in Franklin County, North Carolina; and was the son of the late Sylvester and Beulah Solomon Bryant. Lester enjoyed life. He was out going, fun loving and adventurous. Lester enriched our lives and brightened our days. He will be missed and will be forever remembered.

He was educated in the Franklin County public schools. Lester served honorably in the United States Army. Prior to declining health, he was employed with the North Carolina Department of Corrections (Lanesboro Facility) Polkton, North Carolina.

Never idle, in his leisure, he enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, and fishing. Lester was an outstanding pool player and later in life he built grills and utility trailers. He also enjoyed watching westerns and true crime investigation stories on television.

Lester’s memory will be cherished by his wife, Ruby D. Bryant, Albemarle, North Carolina; sons: Sylvester Leon (Angela) Bryant, Bobby Lee (Holli) Bryant, both of Richfield, North Carolina and Courtland Bryant Little, Crete, Greece; nine grandchildren; sister, Gracie (Truman) Cook, Youngsville, North Carolina; brothers: King Alexander (Juanita) Bryant, Franklinton, North Carolina, Henry Lee Bryant and Alfonzo Bryant, both of Albemarle, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
