Lawrence Ray Liverman, age 70, fondly known to his friends as “Lizard” passed Friday, July 26, 2019 while a patient at Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast, Concord, North Carolina. Lawrence was born March 6, 1949 in Tyrell County, North Carolina; and was the son of the late Connie E. and Alice Liverman. Though his journey on earth is over, he will remain in the hearts of his loved ones through eternity.
He attended the public schools in Tyrell County; and was employed with B. V. Hendrick Gravel & Sand Company and Carolina Staylight Gravel & Concrete Company Gold Hill, North Carolina prior to his retirement. He was an easygoing man with a quiet demeanor who enjoyed fishing, gardening and buying automobiles, which included tractors. He was hardworking and enjoyed going to work.
His church affiliation was with Saints John Baptist Church, Columbia, North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carrie Liverman and a brother, Earl Liverman.
Lawrence was married to Mary Lee Liverman.
Fond and loving memories will remain in the hearts of his devoted wife, Mary Lee Liverman of the home; son, Rodney Liverman Sr., Nashville, North Carolina; sisters: Stella (Albert) Spencer, Columbia, North Carolina and Dr. Alice L.(Frenches) Basnight, Masse, Virginia; brother, Kenny Liverman, Kitty Hawk, North Carolina; nine grandchildren: Shea (Jessica) Dixon, Brandon Russell, Jasmine Cowan, Justice Bruton, Nial Liverman, Rodney Oneil Liverman, Echo Harris, Rodney Wayne Liverman Jr., and Lue Liverman; two great grandchildren; best friend, Van Horne; a host of other relatives and friends.
