Karen Rochelle Stevenson, age 61, was born January 21,1960 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Robert Echols Sr. and Deloria Sandifer Tatum. Karen received her wings and entered Heaven’s Gate, Tuesday, June 29,2021 while a patient at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, North Carolina. We have been eternally blessed and give thanks for the years we shared Karen’s life.
She was educated in the Cuyahoga County, Ohio public schools and after her high school graduation she received an associate degree from Los Angeles Community College, Los Angeles, California. For many years Karen was employed in the health care service industry.
Karen and her family relocated to North Carolina over thirty years ago. After moving to Albemarle, North Carolina, she joined Saints Delight Church where she was a member of the Usher Board. Karen enjoyed many spirited services at Saints Delight until health challenges did not permit her participation. In her leisure, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Family gatherings were her favorite.
Family and friends who loved and who will remember Karen dearly are, her son, Sidney Potts, Albemarle; daughter, Ebony Stevenson, Greensboro, North Carolina; grandchildren: Skyler Potts and Sabrala Potts; sister, Jacki Jackson, Charlotte, North Carolina; brother, Robert Echols Jr., Cleveland, Ohio; a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives, and friends.
The Master Builder
God is the Master Builder,
His plans are perfect and true,
And when He sends you sorrow
It is part of His plan for you…
For all things work together
To complete the Master Plan
And God up in His Heaven
Can see what is best for man.
“Good night dear Karen, may flights of Angels sing thee to thou rest.”
