The road into sunset

Is the one we must all tread.

And though the thought brings us sorrow;

Jeffrey Lynn Sherrill, age 58, transitioned from his earthly life, Friday, August 24, 2018 while a patient at Sardis Oaks Nursing Home, Charlotte, North Carolina. Born May 10, 1960, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Jeffrey was the son of the late William Cornell and Ruby Hunt Sherrill.

He was educated in the Gaston County public schools and graduated high school in 1978. Prior to declining health, Jeffrey was employed as the maintenance supervisor with Days Inn Hotels. In his leisure, he enjoyed working on cars.

His parents and two uncles: Don Hunt and Ray Hunt preceded him in death.

Those who survive Jeffrey are: a daughter, Marissa Sherrill, Charlotte, North Carolina; a brother and sister-in-law, William Clarence and Aretha Sherrill, Albemarle, North Carolina; uncles: Charles Hunt, Florida and John Roseboro, Brooklyn, New York; aunts: Bernice Smith, Mary Brice, Cathy Love and Naomi Burch, all of Gastonia, North Carolina; other relatives and friends.
