Mrs. Janet Turner, age 76, peacefully transitioned from this life on February 24, 2025.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Earl Harris and Eva Johnson Harris, Janet was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend. Her warm spirit, forgiving heart, and ever-present smile made her a joy to be around. Despite facing various health challenges, she carried herself with grace and an unwavering sense of peace, never letting life's hardships diminish her vibrant presence.
A dedicated homemaker, Janet had an extraordinary eye for decorating and design, creating beautiful and welcoming spaces wherever she went. She found immense joy in music and dancing, never missing an opportunity to embrace life’s melodies.
Janet’s legacy of love lives on through her devoted husband, Cornell Turner; her beloved son, Michael Harris; her cherished granddaughter, Chyna Harris; her dear sister, Monet; her loving cousin, Brenda McClain; and her great-grandchildren and in-laws, all of whom held her close to their hearts.
She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her. The world is a little dimmer without her light, but her spirit will continue to shine in the lives she touched.
Services to celebrate Janet’s life will be announced at a later date.
