Georgia (Ridenhour) Mozone

Georgia Marie Mozone, age 93, peacefully entered eternal rest Wednesday, March 19,2025, while a patient at Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Albemarle, North Carolina. "Ree" as she was affectionately known was born November 14, 1931, in Montgomery County, North Carolina; and was the daughter of George and Alberta Pemberton Ridenhour. Gone from our home, Ree's loving spirit will forever live in our hearts. May she rest in peace and soar with God's Angels.

Ree was educated in the Stanly County public schools and attended the historic Kingville High School, Albemarle. After high school she moved to New York where she resided for over forty years. There she was employed in the food service industry until retirement. Afterwards she returned to her childhood home, Stanly County, North Carolina.

She was a member of Saints Delight Church, Albemarle where she enjoyed the fellowship of family and friends. Ree was a faithful member until declining health did not permit her active participation. In her leisure, she enjoyed reading the Bible, solving crossword puzzles, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

Ree was married to Saint Mozone who preceded her in death. Her parents, George and Alberta; brothers: Jimmy, Clyde, Joe, Albert, Gerald, and George Jr.; sisters: Elizabeth Cunningham, Geneva Harrell, Muzetta Knotts, and Cleo Wall also preceded her in death.

Ree is survived by her sister, Lucille Christian; brothers: Charlie Ridenhour and Raymond Ridenhour; special nephew, Ralph Boyd; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
