Gearline (Meaders) Campbell

In sweet peace, Our Heavenly Father called, Gearline Meaders Campbell, from labor to reward, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, while a patient at Forrest Oakes Healthcare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Albemarle, North Carolina. Born June 7, 1944, in Albemarle, Gearline was the daughter of Willie Boyce and Lissie Griffin Meaders. Gearline was charming, witty, and always kept things lively. Gone from our home, but forever in our hearts, as she gave of herself lovingly, and enriched our lives. When tomorrow begins and she is no longer present, we will remember her smile and the love we shared. Gearline is eternally in God’s Care. We will see her again in that great getting up morning.

She was educated in the Stanly County public schools and employed by Dunn Rite Cleaners for many years.

Gearline was a member New Life Baptist Church, Concord, North Carolina. In her leisure, she enjoyed looking at westerns, talking with friends and family. She was a fantastic cook. Everyone raved about her specialties: sweet potato pie, cube steak, corn bread, and sweet tea. Most of all Gearline enjoyed spending time with her family.

She has joined her parents; daughter, Lisa Baldwin; son, Tony Campbell; siblings: Willie Louise Kluttz, Norse Bee Meaders, Dwight Meaders, and Paul Craig Meaders in a place where every day will be like Sunday, and the woes of the world are no more.

Saddened by her loss, but comforted by loving and cherished memories are her daughters: Lacine Renae Campbell, Chemega (Donald) Peoples, and Angela Campbell; son, Walter (Melanie) Campbell; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; sisters: Joyce McNeely, Remell Brown, Joann (Leora) Colson, Ollie (Earl) Barringer, and Delores Meaders; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friend, James Christian.
