Frances Williams

Frances Jean Harris Williams, age 80, answered the Lord’s Call and received eternal rest from labor to reward Tuesday morning, June 23, 2020 at her residence in Albemarle, North Carolina. She was born February 20, 1940 in Savannah, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Henry and Claresa Harding Harris. We give praise and honor for our beloved’s life and are grateful for the many years we shared wonderful memories and milestones on her journey.

She attended the public schools in Savannah and New York. Prior to retirement she was employed in food services with the New York State Board of Education.

Frances was fun loving and enjoyed watching scary movies, dancing, listening to music and had a whimsical sense of humor that brought laughter to the room. However, her most fulfilling role was that of a mother to her children and grandchildren. The most important job to her was ensuring that her family was cared for.

Her husband, Louis H. Williams; daughter, Diane Harris; and brother, Johnny Harris, preceded her in death.

She will be fondly remembered with love and affection by her daughters: Zeynobia Simmons and Theresa Williams, both of Manhattan, New York; sons: Andre (Lorraine) Harris, South Carolina, Timothy Harris, Long Island, New York and Anthony Harris, Albemarle, North Carolina; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Harris, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; other relatives and friends.
