Everline (Little) Smith

Our Heavenly Father in His divine wisdom, called Everline Little Smith, age 81, to Eternal rest Monday, October 29, 2018. Born May 15,1937, in Stanly County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Wilson J. Little, Jr. and Jennie V. Ingram Little. We give honor and thanks to Our Lord and Savior for allowing us to share Everline’s life for so many years. She was treasured, loved and will be dearly missed.

Educated in the Stanly County public schools, she graduated from West Badin High School, Badin, North Carolina. Everline was accomplished and enjoyed studying new and different career paths. She received Associate degrees in Theology and dietary science. She studied at the well sought-after New York Institute School of Dietician Dietetic. She was employed as a dietician with Saint Joseph Hospital and Queens General Hospital, Queens, New York. She attended modeling school and modeled for the world renown Barbizon Modeling Agency.

Everline was never idle, always on the go. She was affiliated with Eternal Love Church, Corona, New York. During her high school years, she was an outstanding basketball player. In her leisure, she enjoyed sewing, walking, cooking and baking. Her impressive cake baking skills led to many awards and accolades.

Those who preceded her in death in addition to her parents are: a sister, Geneva L. McLendon and two brothers: James T. Little and Wilson J. Little, Jr.

Everline leaves a legacy of love, devotion and fond memories to her son, Walter Smith III, Corona, New York; grandson, Kambrin Da’Jon Smith, Corona; sisters: Edith L. Smith, New London, North Carolina, Blondie L. Burns, Winston-Salem, North Carolina and  Mary L. (Michael) Hale, Brentwood, Maryland; brother, Ernest S. Little, Winston-Salem; sister-in-law, Lucille Little, Badin; a host of nieces, nephews,  other relatives, and friends.
