The earthy life of Mrs. Edith Jeeter, came to a close, Monday, May 1, 2023, while a patient at Alamance Health Care Center, Burlington, North Carolina. We, her family and friends, truly thank God for our many years shared with her. She was born September 2, 1935, in Stanly County, North Carolina; and was the daughter of the late John Henry and Polly Hamilton Hubbard. We are comforted in knowing that she is resting with Our Lord and Savior. Our beloved will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Jeeter received her formal education in the Stanly County public schools; and was a retired New York City employee.
Her church affiliation was with Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Badin, North Carolina. In her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, listening to gospel music, and fishing. She also enjoyed spending time with family during the holidays and other family celebrations.
She was joined in holy matrimony to James Harold Redd and Samuel Jeeter. Both preceded her in death. Her siblings: Helen Williams, Bobbie Washington, Alice Mae Thomas, and John Walter Hubbard also preceded her in death.
Left in the sunshine of life to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lillian( James) Anderson; son, Gary (Angela) Redd; grandchildren: Imina, Dahlia, Steven, Demeisha, Demarcus, Shantasia, and Daijah; great grandchildren: Jedidiah, Jonas, Skylar, and Elijah (Ashley);sister, Margaret Johnson; brother, Ernest (Norma) Hubbard; nephews: Kerry, James, Roy, and Eddie; nieces: Alicia, Sonia, Angela, Diedre, Kimberly, Myra, Tanny, and Tracy; a host of other relatives and friends.
