Eddie Baldwin, affectionately known as “Skin,” entered Our Father’s House, November 30, 2025. Always a welcoming smile, a kind word, and a great conversationalist, Eddie was born February 2, 1957, in Stanly County, North Carolina, to the parentage of Mae Baldwin and Benny (BJ) Moss. Eddie will be remembered for his fond sense of humor, devotion to working in the community, and willingness to help others who needed his assistance. May he soar with angels and rest in Our Father’s Arms.
He was a 1975 graduate of Albemarle Senior High School, Albemarle, North Carolina. Prior to retirement, he was employed with the City of Albemarle; and in later years he was a former director with E.E. Waddell Community Center, Albemarle.
Eddie was a member of Union Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Albemarle where he was a devoted member until health challenges did not permit his participation. He enjoyed riding mopeds, spending time with family and friends and dressing up as community Santa Clause during his favorite time of the year. Christmas was special to Eddie.
This holiday season, Eddie’s light is shining brightly in God’s Kingdom as he has reunited with his parents; siblings: Christopher Ingram, Vanessa Baldwin, Gwendolyn Baldwin, Gary Baldwin, Zander Robinson, Lucinda Burns, and Vanessa Ingram; aunt, Emma Tyson; where the clouds have all rolled away and the streets are paved with gold.
Eddie will be remembered, and his light will forever shine in the hearts of his sisters: Jannie McDonald, Barbara Joiner, Monica Baldwin, Cynthia Baldwin, Linda Jo Rose, Victoria Ingram, and Karen Ingram; brothers: Shawn (Tomeika) Baldwin, Barry Ingram, and Bruce Davis; uncle, Bobby Baldwin; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends.
