Remembered with love, our dearly beloved, Debra Ann McAuley, transitioned to eternal rest, Friday, March 26, 2021. Born sixty-three years ago, February 28, 1958, Debra was the daughter of the late Willie Clyde and Annie Ruth Perry McAuley. She was educated in the Essex County public schools and attended the Malcom X Shabazz High School, Newark, New Jersey. Unassuming, easy going, generous and kind were some of the guiding principles that made Debra special. Our loss is heaven’s gain. Her memory will be treasured, and her love will forever remain in our hearts.
Debra loved family. She often said that her greatest and cherished occupation was a homemaker, and mother to her children. She enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to gospel music, and cooking splendid meals.
After moving from Newark, Debra attended many spirited services at Roper Grove African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Mount Gilead, North Carolina where she was a member for over seventeen years.
In God’s Care, Debra is now at rest, and has joined her parents, son, Furquan Ali Muhammad; grandson, Nakwi McAuley; soulmate, Saliah Muhammad; and other family members in a place that is perfect in every way.
With all our love, devotion, and memories we say good-bye to our dearest matriarch, Debra Ann McAuley, who will be dearly missed.
