Deacon Henry Mack Williams, age 74, received his wings and entered Heaven’s Gate, Thursday morning, February 18, 2021, while a patient at Atrium Health-Cabarrus, Concord, North Carolina. Henry was born October 28, 1946 in Anson County, North Carolina. His parents, Melvin and Daisy Thomas McLendon, preceded him in death. Henry, a loving, devoted husband and father, always brightened days and went the extra mile to help his fellowman. Our loss is Heaven’s gain. Special memories of him will be held in our hearts forever.
He attended the Anson County public schools and was a faithful employee with Fiber Composites, New London, North Carolina for many years until retirement.
Deacon Williams was a man of faith. He was a member of Spirit and Truth United Church of Worship, Albemarle, North Carolina, where he was a member of the Deacon Board.
In his pastime, he enjoyed watching television and cheering for his favorite basketball teams. He was family oriented and looked forward to spending time with them. The family celebrations and holidays were especially enjoyable.
Deacon Williams’ parents, sister, Daisy Ponds, and brother, Charles “Charlie Boy” Williams preceded him in death.
He and Gertie M. Williams were happily married for over twenty years.
Today, we celebrate Henry’s life, rather than mourn his death. Loving memories last forever. He will be remembered for his generous heart and love for his family and mankind.
