On Monday, November 7, 2022, God in His infinite wisdom called from labor to reward, Davida Sandrelle Greene. Davida, a bright and shining star, was born November 14, 1982, in Montgomery County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of James and Mildred Nabinett Greene. Davida enriched our lives and brightened our days. Her journey on earth, has come to a close, but her love and kindness transcends the test of time. Davida made an impact on everyone she met. She was a fun-loving spirit and always welcomed everyone with a smile. Her memory will forever live in our hearts.
Davida was educated in the Stanly County public schools and graduated in the class of 2001 from North Stanly High School, New London, North Carolina. After leaving Stanly County, she moved to Charlotte. Davida lived in Charlotte for several years, and eventually moved to Bronx, New York. She was employed with Sanctuary for Families, New York, New York where she advocated for battered women and children.
She began her Christian journey at an early age, and joined Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Badin, North Carolina. Never idle, Davida was community oriented. She was a volunteer and advocate for battered women, breast cancer survivors, and other women rights initiatives. She was featured in the New York Times Billboards for her stance in domestic violence. Family was important to Davida. She loved her family and was never too busy to share a holiday or a special occasion with them. She loved being a mother and always wanted the best for her children.
The music is quiet, the sun has set as Davida has joined her maternal grandfather, Arthur Nabinett Jr.; maternal great grandfather, David McMillian; paternal grandparents, Isaiah and Pearl Greene; uncles: Chester Greene, Woodrow Greene, Ernest Watson, Preston Lambb, Samuel Nabinett, Jerome Nabinett, and Alfonza Nabinett; and nephew, Omar Nabinett in a place of tranquility and peace.

Grieving Now
Although you are grieving now
And there are things left unsaid,
Remember our memories and please smile instead.
Although you are grieving now
Find peace because He sent for me,
And I am no longer hurting.
Although you are grieving now,
And the days, weeks, and months will pass
The love I have for you will always last.
