Corene Sides Parker

Heavenly Father we give honor and glory for the life of Corene Sides Parker who was called from labor to reward Saturday, February 26,2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Stanly County, North Carolina, and on February 21st, she celebrated her 81st birthday. Corene was the daughter of the late Elsie Mae Sides and Joe Nathan Brooks. She enriched our lives and brightened our days. Kindness was her trademark. And the sentiment, “Let the work I’ve done, speak for me”, epitomized the life she lived. Her smile, her grace will forever live in our hearts.

She was educated in the Stanly County public schools and was employed in the home health care service industry for many years.

Corene was a faithful member of Saints Delight Church, Albemarle, North Carolina where she served as president of the Culinary Staff; and was a member of the Pastor's Aide Auxiliary. Anyone attending Saints Delight was fortunate to receive a scrumptious meal prepared by Corene. She was always delightful and enjoyed seeing others enjoy a great meal. In addition to her impeccable cooking skills, she enjoyed watching television, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.

She has joined her parents; husband, John Parker; and great grandchildren: Rob Faulk-Dill and Omar Greene in a place of tranquility and beauty.

Corene will be remembered with love and adoration by her daughters: Elder Rosalind (Earl) McNeil, Kim (Randy)Edwards, Elder Sandra (James) Dill, Evangelist Mechell Stevens, and Wanda (Troy) Lewis; sons: Elder Demetrious (Pastor Bonnie) Parker, Anthony (Sabrina) Little, and Andrew Little; twenty grandchildren; forty-eight great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild, Riley Dill; aunt, Dora Copeland; special friend, Connie Freeman; a host of other cousins, relatives and dear friends.
