Chicaraw Regina Meaders

Chicaraw Regina Meaders, daughter of Remell M. Brown and the late Mark Stanback, was born May 11, 1968, in Albemarle, Stanly County, North Carolina. In sweet peace, Gina, as she was affectionately known, entered eternal rest, December 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. In this season of thanksgiving, we give thanks for the gift of Gina. We are eternally grateful for the love, laughter, joy, goodness, and kindness she shared with family and friends.

Educated in the Stanly County Public Schools, Gina graduated from Albemarle Senior High School, class of 1986. She was employed in the childcare industry where she had a passion for caring for others and an unwavering spirit that will be remembered by those who she assisted. Gina also graduated Cosmetology school and taught hair to individuals who wanted to learn.

A woman of faith, Gina would want all to know , especially her mother, children, and grandchildren, that she is alright; that she is with her "DJ"; and is safe in God's Hands. She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Badin for over forty-one years where she served on the Culinary Committee, Women's Missionary, and various auxiliaries that she happily supported.

She enjoyed decorating, interior design, shopping and traveling to Myrtle Beach, one of her favorite getaways. Gina loved family and found joy in planning holidays, birthdays, and other family celebrations.

Gina has reunited with her father, Mark Stanback; bonus father, Eddie Lee Brown; grandson, Damien "DJ" Griffin Jr.; favorite cousins: Deyon "Vette" Edwards and Lisa Baldwin; uncles: Paul Craig Meadows, Dwight Meaders, and Norse Bee Meaders; aunts: Louise Kluttz and Gearline Campbell in a place of spiritual beauty and serenity.

Cherished and treasured memories will live in the hearts of her daughters: Chicaiya Meaders and Noelle Meaders; sons: Demarco Meaders-Bruton and Rickey Meaders-House; mother, Remell Brown; special daughters: Ariana Craig and Alysia Owens; grandchildren: A’Nautica, Jayla, Kaiden, Iy'Kianna, Ky' Lianna, Azaiden, Sterling, Jordan, and Rylan; sister, Shyesha Jordan; brothers: Allen (Kenya) Dockery, Michael (Angie) Brown, and Reginald (Renee') Brown; aunts: Joann Colson, Joyce McNeely, Brenda Jones, Ollie (Earl) Barringer, and Delores Meaders; uncle, Titus (Brenda) Stanback; companion, Maurice Watkins; special cousins: Tyris Meaders, Greg Meadows, and Chris Edwards Sr.; special friends: Katherine Wall, Cassandra Haywood, and LaSonja Watkins; a host of other relatives and friends.
