We give honor and glory to Our Lord and Savior for the life of Carolyn Diane Peoples who entered Heaven’s Gate, Friday, April 8, 2022. Carolyn was welcomed to the Peoples family, September 30, 1946, in Stanly County, North Carolina; and was the daughter of the late Angeline Peoples and Curtis Williams. She enriched our lives and brightened our days. Carolyn loved family and always went the extra mile to help others. Her memory will forever shine brightly in our hearts.
Carolyn was educated in the public schools of Stanly County and was a 1965 graduate of West Badin High School, Badin, North Carolina. She was employed for many years in the culinary industry, Federal Pacific, and Allison’s Manufacturing Company.
A faithful servant, Carolyn and her family were life-long members of Shiloh Baptist Church, New London, North Carolina. She enjoyed many spirited church services and the fellowship of the church members until declining health limited her participation. Carolyn also attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, New London. She was also civic minded and served many years as a voter’s registration volunteer. In her leisure, she enjoyed fishing, playing card games, and listening to music. But most of all, she loved family and cherished the family holidays and other celebrations.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Darren Peoples; and siblings: Brigit, Angelette, Sylvester, and Lee Edward.
Loving and precious memories of Carolyn will forever remain in the hearts of her children: Antoinette Peoples, Yolanda Peoples, and Rodney L. Peoples; grandchildren: Jashon Shaw, Christian Shaw, Jasmine Goode, Jermaine Goode, and Chasity (Derrick) Peterson; great grandchildren: Kassidy Peoples and De’ Mari Peterson; sisters: Barbara P. Hinson and Pamela P. Smith; brothers: Lonnie (Deborah) Peoples, Steve (Crystal) Peoples, and Larry (Aciba) Peoples; special niece, Anitra (Anthony) Kennedy; a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins: Paulette Thomas, Joylen Thomas, and Carol T. Mosley; other relatives, and friends.
A page turned, a chapter completed, a life well lived, and a rest well deserved. We love you Carolyn, and we will see you again in that ‘great getting’ up morning’.
