Bobby Knight Caple

Bobby Knight Caple, age 67, gave up time for Eternity and entered The Master’s Kingdom, Friday, January 24, 2020. Born October 3, 1952 in Stanly County, North Carolina, he was reared by the loving and devoted parentage of the late Joe and Mary Knight.  His biological father was the late Charlie Caple Sr.; and his biological mother was the late Louise Caple.  Bobby fought a good fight, finished his course and now wears a crown.  We are comforted in knowing he now rests in The Arms of Our Lord and Savior.

He was educated in the Stanly County public schools; and prior to retirement he was a foreman with McGee Brothers Construction Company, Stanfield, North Carolina.

Bobby was a dedicated member of Saints Delight Church, Albemarle, North Carolina.  He enjoyed spirited services and was a former member of the Deacon Board, Usher Board and church sexton. 

Bobby enjoyed shopping, loved fashion, and was impeccably dressed.  He was an avid golfer who dearly loved the sport. Bobby was affectionately known as “Bobby Woods”, because he played the game so well. But most of all, he was a Believer and enjoyed attending worship services.

His friend, Mittie Elizabeth Taylor, preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by brothers: Thomas Caple, Lonzie Caple, Raymond Knight, Joseph Knight, Willie Knight and James Davis.

Survivors who will cherish Bobby’s memory are: loving and devoted companion, Carol J. Cole, Albemarle; daughters, Treva (Tony) Watkins, Norwood, North Carolina and Jahia Cole, Albemarle; grandchildren: Haile Ingram, Baltimore, Maryland, Essence Ingram, Badin, North Carolina, Jaziah Cole and Beyond Cole, both of Albemarle; great grandson, Jayceon Cunningham, Norwood; brothers: Charlie (Willie Mae) Caple Sr., Sylvester (Elaine) Caple, Leon Caple, Ponzie (Althea) Caple, Martin Caple and Dennis Biles; sisters: Elizabeth Moore, Virginia Terry, Audrey (Michael) Duke, Evelyn Little, Priscilla Clark and Patricia Baldwin; sisters-in-law: Sadie Knight and Hattie Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
