Betty Jean Jackson Robinson, age 72, entered eternal rest June 12, 2026, while a patient at Atrium Health, Concord, North Carolina. She was born July 3, 1953, in Anson County, North Carolina, and was the beloved daughter of the late Lafayette and Esther Tanner Jackson. We are grateful for the years we shared her life. Gone from among us, but her memory will forever live in the hearts of her family and friends.
She received her formal education in the Anson County Public schools and graduated from the historic Bowman High School, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Upon graduation, Betty joined the Peace Corps and later attended Anson Technical College where she received her licensed practical nursing certification. For many years she was employed in the medical field until her retirement.
Betty was a member of Resurrection Community Church, Albemarle. There she sang in the choir and assisted in other church auxiliaries. In her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking and shopping. One of her favorite pastimes was watching the television show, In the Heat of the Night. Most of all, Betty loved spending time with her family.
Those who will forever love and treasure Betty’s memory are her sons: Marcus (Sharon) Robinson and Travis Robinson; grandchildren: Destiny, Amarian, Kysean, Hakiem, Na’Quan, Travis Jr., Travon, Isis, Kaj, and J’lyn; great grandchildren: Brookelynn and Samiya; brothers: Randy Jackson, Otis Jackson, and Robert Jackson; special niece, Shay Jackson Green; a host of other relatives and friends.
