Bessie (Graham) Christian

Our Father, in his infinite wisdom, called Bessie Christian, from labor to reward, Saturday, January 6, 2024, while a patient at Atrium Health, Al-bemarle, North Carolina. Bessie was born July 15, 1949, in Montgomery County, North Carolina to the parentage of Thomas and Emerbess Parker Graham. Gone from our home, but forever in our hearts. Bessie's memory will live eternally.

She was educated in the Montgomery County public schools and graduated from the historic Peabody Grade School, Troy, North Carolina. She furthered her cducation at Montgomery Community College, formerly Montgomery Technical Community College, Troy, where she was cn. rolled in the Early Childhood Education curriculum. Never idle, Bessie was employed with Russell Harvell Hosiery and Collins & Aikman. Her career spanned over thirty years with both employers.

A believer, Bessie was a former member of St. Luke Church, Mt. Gilead, North Carolina. At her passing she was a devoted member of New Direction Life Ministries, Norwood, North Carolina where she served as "Church Mother' and Sunday School teacher. In her leisure, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzics, word search books, and adult coloring books.

Bessie was loving and kind; she never met a stranger. She relished spending time with family and friends; and took special care of her granddaughter, Brittany.

Her parents, Thomas and Emerbess; and siblings: Birtha Little, Shirley Graham, James Graham, and Henry Graham preceded her in death.

Loving and treasured memories will forever live in the hearts of her daughter, Mclissa Christian; son, Cardell (Solen) Christian; grandchildren: Shaniquia Christian, Brittany Gerald, Enrique Bums, and Cardell Christian Jr, stepchildren: Darrius Armstrong. Justin Armstrong. Travis McKinney, Sarah Cunningham, Lamont Stanback, and Stephanic McKinney; aunt: Nora Parker, a host of relatives and friends.
