Benjamin Lewis McNair gave up time for Eternity, Monday, May 21, 2018 while a patient at Carolinas Health Care Center-Stanly, Albemarle, North Carolina. Born January 1,1951 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Benjamin was the son of the late George and Marie Farrar McNair.
He received his formal education in the Stanly County, North Carolina public schools and was retired after several years of employment with the City of Albemarle, Transportation Department. His church affiliation was with New Hope Mission Church, Albemarle. Sources of enjoyment included: fishing, cooking (he considered himself a great chef), maintenance of automobiles, and involvement in local political matters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David A. Lennon.
Benjamin and Marolyn Lennon McNair were married for over forty years.
Left to cherish fond memories are: his wife, Marolyn L. McNair, Albemarle, sons: Benjamin T. Lennon, Albemarle and Daniel L. (Angelica) Lennon, Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren: Tyler, Myia, Alexis, Tungia, Mygie, Monique and Taliyah; brother, Bobby (Rhonda) Edwards, Colbert, Georgia; a host of other relatives and friends.
