‘‘God saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were getting hard to climb’’, so he closed Beadie Clark Jr.’s eyes and welcomed him to his Heavenly home, Tuesday, August 25, 2020. “June Bug” as he was affectionately known was born October 13, 1951 in Stanly County, North Carolina. His parents, Beadie Sr. and Versia Staton Clark preceded him in death. “June Bug” was fun loving and enjoyed a great laugh with family and friends. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
“June Bug” was educated in the Stanly County public schools and attended West Stanly High School, Red Cross, North Carolina. Prior to retirement, he was employed with Wiscassett Mills Company, Albemarle, North Carolina.
He attended St. Matthews United Church of God, Oakboro, North Carolina where his family have been life-long members. “June Bug” enjoyed watching his favorite wrestling & western television programs, relaxing with family and friends. He also loved listening to music and dancing.
“June Bug” was formerly married to Undrey Bost. They were proud parents to Trina and Bryant. Bryant passed in October 2000. “June Bug’s” siblings: Thelma Ruth Lilly, Emma Jean Clark and John Clark also preceded him in death.
Our family and friends are thankful for the years we shared “June Bug’s’ life. He leaves a legacy of love and devotion to his daughters: Trina and her husband, Everick Griffin Sr., New London, North Carolina, Monica Bost, Charlotte, North Carolina; four grandchildren: Devin J. (Randi) Griffin, Stanfield, North Carolina, Everick Griffin Jr., San Angelo, Texas, De’Shari Griffin, New London, and Jameirra (Jametrius) Wilhite, Albemarle; five great grandchildren; brother, Edward Clark, Oakboro; former wife, who remained friends through the years, Undrey Bost, Oakboro; special friend, Annette Jackson, Norwood, North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
